How Can I Use My Skills?

Whatever your talents and interests, you can find a place for them in our congregation — especially at annual auction time. Donate an item you've made, a dinner, or a workshop. Participate in our worship services or help spruce up the church. The opportunities for service are endless.

Be an inhouse writer for the newletter or the website
(and join our monthly "Telling Our Stories")

•  Singing

Help with yard maintenance, bring flowers for the
sanctuary or special occasions

•  Interior decorating

USING YOUR TALENTS
•  Children
Join our LFD teaching team, or
volunteer at Park Hills Elementary School

•  Answering the telephone

Volunteer for office duty in the afternoons








•  Helping people
Visit the homebound, volunteer at
St. Luke's Free Medical Clinic or Park Hills School

•  Yoga or meditation
Lead a service or a regular class

•  Handyman work
Help fix up, paint, repair the church
•  Sound systems
Help out at the coffeehouse or service,
give the regular sound people a summer
break







•  Astrology or Tarot cards
Do a chart or a reading as an auction donation
•  Playing the guitar
Perform at the monthly Expresso Yourself Coffeehouse

•  Playing the violin, the flute, the trumpet, or other
Let the music director know and play special music in the
service

•  Dramatic performance
Help out with the Wild Tic Tacs (young people's
performance group)

Take some pictures of church events and submit to the
newsletter or website (send to communication@uucs.org

make something to sell at the Auction

Come to the Love, Knit, & Crochet group and make a scarf
for a homeless person

Prepare food for Wonderful Wednesdays, Coffee and                Conversation, and special occasions (and contribute a recipe to the new cookbook)

Contribute a lesson to the Auction or perform at a special service

•  Hiking or Cycling

Ask around, you'll find plenty of folks

•  Driving in the mountains
Drive (or load) for the Assault on Mt. Mitchell

Give your ideas for fundraising, RE classes, and other things that need doing to the appropriate committee chair or church officer
