LIFESPAN
FAITH DEVELOPMENT
YOUTH
-
Our youth have a number of opportunities for their faith development. On Sunday mornings, Junior High and Senior High classes are engaged in age-appropriate and adult-led discussions of how our UU principles and commitments are lived out in daily life.
We also offer YRUU (Young Religious Unitarian Universalists) for youth, ages 14-18. This group currently meets on each Sunday afternoon, 12:15-1:15 at the church and is advised by our YRUU Advisor, Mary Bracey. The Mission Statement of UUCS YRUU, crafted by the youth themselves, reads: "We, the YRUU of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spartanburg, strive to enrich our community, church and lives by learning, leading, laughing and living our principles."
CONS - CONS are age-appropriate retreats held at The Mountain (Highlands, NC) in the fall and spring of the year. Currently there are CONS available for Junior High and Senior High school age youth.
